To celebrate XMU’s 100th Anniversary, OEA launches this special issue to honor the most fascinating photonics and optoelectronics research results recently performed in XMU or by XMU alumni. Achievements from two divisions are highlighted: School of Electronic Science and Engineering, School of Aerospace Engineering. This special issue includes 1 review and 3 articles from XMU’s disciplines in mechanical engineering and electronic engineering, introducing the most recent progress in micro-LED, laser, and biomimetic materials.
