To celebrate XMU’s 100th Anniversary, OEA launches this special issue to honor the most fascinating photonics and optoelectronics research results recently performed in XMU or by XMU alumni. Achievements from two di-visions are highlighted: School of Electronic Science and Engineering, School of Aerospace Engineering. This spe-cial issue includes 1 review and 3 articles from XMU’s dis-ciplines in mechanical engineering and electronic engi-neering, introducing the most recent progress in mi-cro-LED, laser, and biomimetic materials.
