Optofluidics is a rising subject combining microfluidics and optics. It controls light and fluids at micro/nanoscale and exploits their interaction to produce novel instruments. The research group of Prof. Yi Yang from Wuhan University reviewed the optofluidics and its application. The interaction between light and pure liquids, and the ways to form heterogeneous media are introduced. The latest findings are also referred.
